Vietnamese students in France exchange with Prof. Ngo Bao Chau


In Nov. 20, Vietnamese Student Association in France, Vietnamese scientists and experts held a ceremony to meet, honor and interact with Professor Ngo Bao Chau, who recently received awards Fields 2010. Answer student's questions about the point to achieve success in his study and research, Professor Ngo Bao Chau said to be successful people needs to have profound passion in science. Each person needs to have their own appropriate research methodology and the feel for scientific discovery.

    According to Professor Ngo Bao Chau, It is necessary to inspire the early passion in science for primary school pupils and attach the special importance to primary education development.
    About the projects in the future, Professor Ngo Bao Chau said he will continue to study math, prepare for the implementation of mathematics development programs for 10 years and establish an advanced mathematics research institute in Vietnam, in order to attract more researchers from Vietnam and abroad encourage collaborative research projects between Vietnam and foreign countries and fund to support young talent. Professor encouraged students and researchers to work in Vietnam after completing their studies.
    Ms. Corinne Makowski, Foreign Vice General Director of SPF, praised Professor Ngo Bao Chau as a luminary in mathematics in both Vietnam and France, having won the Clay awards together with Professor Gérard Laumon and the 2010 Fields.  He has been cited as an inspiration and motivation for young scientists to pursue a career in scientific research. 
    In the ceremony, Mr Hoang Nang Thang, UEVF Chairman, on behalf of Vietnamese students community, trainees in France, expressed his profound acknowledgement to teachers, professors of both Vietnam and France for mentoring generations of successful students.
